Terms of service

Agreement
These terms govern your use of the Steward booking pages operated by Steward Intelligence Company (“Steward,” “we,” “us”). By booking an appointment or signing in to a client account through a Steward booking page, you agree to these terms and to our privacy policy. If you do not agree, do not use the service.
What Steward is
Steward is booking software. Each salon or barbershop using Steward is an independent business that sets its own services, prices, schedule, and policies. Steward provides the booking tools; it does not provide hair or beauty services and is not a party to the appointment between you and the salon.
Bookings
When you book, you agree to provide accurate contact information and to arrive for your appointment on time. The salon you book with is responsible for the services it offers and for honoring confirmed appointments. Service availability, pricing, and stylist assignments are set by the salon and may change.
Changes, cancellations, and no-shows
You can reschedule or cancel an appointment using the manage link in your confirmation message, subject to the salon’s own cancellation policy. Salons may set deposit, hold, or no-show fee requirements for some services. Where a salon does so, the applicable amount and terms are shown before you confirm the booking.
Payments
Where a salon collects a deposit or fee at booking, payment is processed by Stripe. The salon — not Steward — is the merchant for that transaction and is responsible for refunds and payment disputes in line with its own policy. Steward facilitates the payment but does not set prices or hold funds on the salon’s behalf beyond what the payment processor requires.
Messages (SMS)
Steward sends text messages on behalf of the salon you book with. By checking the SMS-consent box when you book, you consent to receive appointment-related text messages from that salon (operated by Steward Intelligence Company), including booking confirmations, reminders, reschedule and cancellation notices, pre-visit notifications, post-visit follow-ups, sign-in verification codes, and occasional re-engagement messages from the salon. Message frequency varies based on your appointment activity. Message and data rates may apply.
Reply STOP to any message to opt out at any time; opting out does not cancel your appointment. Reply HELP for help, or email hello@stewardautomation.com. For details on how we handle your mobile information, see our privacy policy.
Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- Use the service to make fraudulent, abusive, or automated bookings.
- Attempt to access another person’s account or any data that is not yours.
- Interfere with, probe, or disrupt the service or its security.
Intellectual property
The Steward platform, including its software, design, and branding, belongs to Steward Intelligence Company. These terms do not grant you any right to copy, modify, or reuse it. Content a salon adds — its name, services, and imagery — belongs to that salon.
Disclaimers
The service is provided “as is” and “as available.” Steward does not warrant that the service will be uninterrupted or error-free, and is not responsible for the quality, safety, or outcome of any service provided by a salon.
Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Steward will not be liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the service. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited under applicable law.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time. When we do, we will revise the effective date above. Continued use of the service after a change means you accept the updated terms.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, USA, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules.
